**A Stream’Athon is similar to a telethon; we’ve invited various genres of performers to donate a few minutes of their time and talent to entertain the public while their MC asks for donations.
The unique aspect of the event is that instead of broadcasting on television the entire event will be streamed live on Facebook! There will be over 30 performers gracing the stage with an audience of over 15,000 people that will be watching throughout the world!
THIS YEAR’S FUNDRAISING TARGET IS: $10,000
The proceeds will benefit Desta’s 2017 Mental Health, Distance Education, and Justice programs.
This year DESTA is hosting its 7th annual fundraiser, DESTA FEST 2016! at Le Salon 1861. The event will include food, drinks and entertainment, all brought to you by some of our generous sponsors. We invite you to be allies of diversity and support us in working towards our mission of creating a sustainable space of empowerment, strength and growth for our community.
